I have a bachelors degree in Tourism, a Masters in Tourism Management and I have complemented my education with an MBA specializing in Marketing and Luxury Management. I speak and write fluently 4 languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. My path as an adult began in Portugal while studying Law, and from that time I discovered that I wanted to deal with more practical matters of life. From an early age I learned the importance of being responsible, organized and paying attention to detail. In my first job as Event Coordinator in a 5 star hotel, these skills were the basis for the success of each event. Since then, I have worked for several years as Hotel Contract Manager, traveling around the world and getting to know different cultures. This experience strengthened me, I learned to be a good listener, to create goals and to adapt to different people and countries. Under the pressure of becoming a successful commercial I had to overcome myself, be resilient and give up only when all the options were exhausted. Being Team Coordinator of 8 people in the largest Portuguese Travel Group was one of the biggest challenges I faced, but at the same time one of the experiences that made me grow the most. I have had the opportunity to feel how important leadership is by giving the example, motivating, practicing the ability to relate to others, and at the same time asking for results. Recently, 3 years ago I returned to Maputo, the city where I grew up. The short period I spent as Purchasing Director of an oil and soap manufacturer allowed me to reassess the Mozambican environment and practice logistics and procurement tasks in this reality. The opportunity to have my own business appeared. I rehabilitated a house in Maputo and converted it into a Guesthouse valued at 9.1 on a scale of 10 www.joliguesthouse.com. After two years managing my company, I look for new challenges that will allow me to continue to grow.
