
An experienced Humanitarian specialist with 20 years’ working experience in coordinating, managing and evaluating Development & Emergency Response programs/ grants (Cash/voucher transfers, Food for Assets/PAC, Food Security, Livelihoods, Education, Child Sponsorship, Health and Nutrition projects in Southern and East Africa (Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya). Has experience managing USAID (FFP, OFDA, BHA), WFP, World Bank, UNICEF, CFGB, SIDA, ECHO grants and familiar with respective donor rules and regulations on grant management (procurement, staffing and reporting compliance). Kuziwa has worked with various international organizations, like World Vision, the World Bank, WFP Zimbabwe, International Rescue Committee and Food for the Hungry Mozambique. Kuziwa has strong management skills, strategy development, resource mobilization and donor engagement and liaison skills. Strong experience working in fragile contexts like Cabo Delgado in Mozambique and Tigray of Ethiopia. Understands security protocols and how to operate in hostile environments as well as managing staff in such high risk security contexts (formulation of security protocols and standard operation procedures, including managing staff evacuations when necessary). Vast experience in managing big multi-year USAID (FFP, OFDA and BHA) grants and understands very well the USAID guidelines, policies and procedures.
