▪ Place children in need of care on place of safety while investigating on their circumstances. ▪ Investigate and compile reports to Juvenile Court for Children to be committed to institutions or foster placement. ▪ Investigate and compile reports to Magistrate Court on juveniles with criminal charges/ children in conflict with law. ▪ Provide supervision on juvenile released on license from corrective institutions ▪ To investigate and consider registration of residential child care facilities ▪ Register crèches and play centres and carry out regular inspections. ▪ Facilitate clients/children identify their social problems. ▪ Provide psychosocial support to children through Casework, group work and community work. ▪ Supervise Child Care Workers and Child Protection Committees. ▪ Carrying out tracing visits, reunifying children and carry out follow up visits of children who have been reunified from institutions. Making sure that every vulnerable child has the access to basic life such as education, food and shelter.
