Resumo

I hold a Master degree of Preventive Veterinary Medicine obtained in 2013, and currently I am the biodiversity conservation manager of the Mozbio Project in the National Sustainable Development Fund. My chief responsibility is coordination of all activities in the three conservation areas of MozBio Project intervention, providing assistance in the field of wildlife management, tourism and community development. I am also responsible for providing direct support to the Project coordinator, overseeing the implementation of the following project components: institutional support, rural development compatible conservation and monitoring and evaluation I guarantee among others planning, elaboration, execution, reporting and monitoring of annual plans and budgets, allocations of resources for setting up management infra-structures within conservation areas; elaboration and implementation of management and tourism plans and wildlife census; I secure programs for wildlife relocation and operationalization of the strategy for management of human-wildlife conflicts. My responsibility includes as well to facilitate elaboration of laws, regulations and guidelines that contribute for development of protected areas and safeguard losses of its biodiversity I am responsible for negotiating and establishment of co-management agreements between ANAC and Private sector to secure financial sustainability in the Maputo Special Reserve, Chimanimani National Park and Marromeu Nacional Reserve. In addition, I am responsible in promoting wildlife economy through sustainable tourism, securing the establishment of PPP contracts I have been engaged in the launching of two calls of emergency tourism to support operators from private sector to recover and maintain their operation during and after COVID 19.
