
With over 4 years of experience in the Humanitarian sector, leading projects in disaster-prone and conflict-sensitive contexts. Developed a solid understanding of international humanitarian law and operational programming that addresses the lifesaving needs of the affected population and promotes durable solutions. Passionate about empowering people to live up to their fullest human rights and potential. Currently working as the Gender and Protection Coordinator for Humanitarian Response at CARE International Mozambique and have been managing a 3-year project funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency on Water Hygiene Sanitation and Protection. In addition, I play the very key role as the Safeguarding focal point at the Country Office level, I also have an additional role as a member of the procurement committee, overseeing all the processes within the threshold of 3500 to 25000 USD at the provincial level, to ensure the effectiveness of procurement procedures and its alignment with the organization's policies from the selection of potential vendors (due diligence), technical analysis, and delivery of goods., Also Developed strong interpersonal skills, budget variance analysis, and project management skills, including risk management analysis for a better understanding of the internal and external risks with the potential of limiting humanitarian assistance or of causing more harm to the affected population. These skills have been backed up by my educational background which includes a Diploma from The University of Georgia in the USA (Through the African Civic Engagement Academy), and certification from Brigham Young University-Idaho (USA), and certification in Conducting Rapid Gender Analysis through CARE International
