I carried out my undergraduate studies at Africa University in Zimbabwe where I received a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Psychology and Sociology (Double major) (2001-2004). I was then employed by the Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs under the Zimbabwe Prison Service as a Probation Officer (Community Service) recommending an alternative sentencing option which is community service for offenders to the magistrate (2004-2006). There I acquired my strong interest in the fields of Human Resources, Criminology and Probation and Correctional Practice which are all human centered. This therefore gave me the will to further my studies in South Africa where I prosecuted my studies in a Bachelor of Social Sciences, Honors in Criminal Justice (2010) and Honors and Masters of Social Sciences Degrees in Probation and Correctional Practice (2012-2015). In 2014 I was attached as an intern at Young in Prison South Africa during my Masters as this was part of my coursework which provided me with a learning experience and training. This experience widened my horizons in issues of crime reduction and prevention through the rehabilitation, reintegration and advocating for young offenders between the ages of 14-25. In 2012 I was temporarily employed by the Department of Social Development, University of Cape Town as a facilitator for a training workshop for all Western Cape Probation Officers. This was a tender given to the University of Cape Town by the Western Cape Government so my lecturers employed me temporarily to assist them in the training program. I was then employed at Simukai Child Protection Zimbabwe on a two-year contract (2016-2018) as an Education and Rehabilitation Officer. However, I have therefore decided to further my career in developmental issues that are people oriented and lead to sustainable development I am seeking a challenging and fulfilling role and am capable of adapting quickly to new ideas and situations in order to achieve
