Resumo
Personal statement I’m a full-time teacher working grade 11-12 students with the age which starts from 16 to 19, at Guro Upper Secondary School, Manica Province in Mozambique. Among other things my job includes to: • Oversee and report on the activities of my fellow teachers; • Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in accordance to the national curriculum; • Planning fort-night meetings together with subject teachers in my school; • Counselling students in coping with the courses we provide and advising them on postsecondary Schools; • Networking with other teacher from different School in the province and other Provinces on methodological issues we face in our day to day work; • Organizing in-service teacher development activities within the school; • Participating at the Provincial level in panels for the harmonization of trimestral test; Beside this, I work with the community around the school in promoting sports, study groups and campaign against premature marriages and pregnant, thus reducing the number of early school leavers especial in girls.
