Resumo
I have progressive development professional experience in international organizations including over 10 years with the United Nations system, with increasing levels of responsibilities that involve, communications, strategic programme development; partnerships with the Government, the Private Sector, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, and the Media. I have also worked as a leader for Trans World Radio and Coalition for Peace in Africa, where I gained experience in project management as well as involvement with grassroots on peacebuilding and maintenance, conflict prevention and resolutions, and major communication, campaigns, and visibility projects. My key professional achievements include: • Established and chaired the first United Nations Communication Working Group (UNCWG) in Mozambique, within the framework of the Delivering as One reform agenda. For the first time in the country, Communication Officers from more than 11 UN agencies worked together to achieve a common objective. This resulted in an effective conveying to the Government, donors and the public of more unified and coherent UN presence. • Developed UNDP social media strategy and successfully implemented it establishing all its platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Youyube. • At the request of the UNDP Country Director, from 2015 initiated the inception phase of a project in Peace and Social Cohesion in Mozambique. With the support of a consultant, we conducted fact finding seminars and consultations with the Government, political parties, civil society organizations including women’s groups. Through this exercise I developed a deep understanding of the issues relating to peace, security, economic inclusion, and social cohesion. I also established firm contacts with the various stakeholders concerned with this theme.
