Resumo

I have 18 Years of Financial management and accounting experience in both the private and development sector. Over the years, I have gained vast experience in managing donor funds and developing capacities of local NGOs in sustainable financial management. I have overseen the financial management of various donor funded projects which include European Union, Australian Aid (DFAT), USAID, UNICEF, BHP Billiton Company, UKAID, Global Affairs of Canada and Swiss Agency Development Cooperation. I have also working knowledge with multilateral Banking Institutions such as The World Bank (WB), African Development Bank (AfDB), OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and the Islamic Fund for International Development (IsDB) – ongoing Temane Maputo Power Transmission project about 550 Million USD – mainly setting up maintaining sound financial and administration systems, Disbursement processes, reporting processes, establishment of an Internal Audit function and procurement systems. The main areas of expertise include but not limited to setting strategic and operational budgeting processes and plans, budgetary control, setting internal controls and enforce adherence, risk identification and mitigation measures setting and review (pro-active approach). I have also developed and enforce Value for Money principles and practices (heading a team of 6 procurement officers), ensure assurance and compliance checks are adequate, performed partner financial capacity assessment and capacity building. Also experienced in staff recruitment, induction, and capacity building, performance management and releasing. This is coupled with logistics and office management policies development and ensure enforcement thereof. I have also gained experience in International Importation processes especially in Letters of Credits (LCs) negotiations, customs and VAT exemptions processes.
