Resumo

Preparation and coordination of studies and projects for hydraulic works, with a particular focus on the following areas: river regularisation works; hydro-agricultural exploitation; hydraulic exploitation; pumping systems; reservoirs; large water mains; drainage networks and road networks. Participation in multidisciplinary teams, not only as a designer, but also as project manager and in the general coordination of project teams. Relevant technical capacity and experience, with mastery of the latest methodologies in his field, detailed knowledge of various types of projects, resulting naturally from his high degree of participation and intervention in many landmark studies and projects already carried out. Throughout his professional career, he has worked on projects in Portugal for the Alqueva Multipurpose Development (EFMA) and the National Irrigation Plan, and abroad on various projects for hydro-agricultural and hydro-electric projects, public water supply and river regularisation in Angola, Algeria, Brazil, Colombia, Morocco, Mozambique, Peru and Zambia. In Angola, he is Director of the Water, Environment and Sustainability Business Unit, managing a team of around 20 people, and is responsible for the Specialised Technical and Financial Management and Coordination of a number of projects and contracts in the province of Cunene, as part of the Plan to Combat the Effects of Drought in Southern Angola. At EFMA, he took part in various studies and implementation projects totalling more than 50,000 hectares. He carried out a variety of activities, from agronomic studies to hydrology and hydraulics, including some project management and coordination roles, as well as reviewing projects. In Mozambique, he has participated in several hydro-agricultural rehabilitation projects, having coordinated the initial phase of the investment studies for the Boroma Hydroelectric Plant.
