
Darara Obert, is an experienced Development Specialist in designing and implementing M&E systems with Government and Non-Governmental Organizations. He possesses demonstrable experience in Research, Program Management, OVC and AGYW programming, Public Health, Livelihoods, Social Protection and Economic Growth. He is also a fluent English and Portuguese speaker . I bring over 14 years of development work experience, 7 of those were at project management and strategic level. During this period, I have mostly worked for an International development NGO-World Education Incorporated (WEI/B) where I have become an expert in the technical, conceptual and strategic oversight of proposal development, project planning, budgeting, target setting, tracking and troubleshooting. I also have vast experience in the development and management of Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) systems, data analysis and advancing learning agenda´s for the organization and government systems. I also have proven ability and experience in actual project leadership and management, driving the successful development, roll out and implementation of the country MER systems, Government systems strengthening, leading internal Country Operational Planning (COP) and Annual Progress Results (APR) processes, management of data and quality assurance. I also provided both technical and MER guidance and oversight to 7 WEI/B countries within Africa (Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Eswatini). Specifically, I am currently the team lead for a $10 million USAID funded OVC transition grant in Mozambique where I am leading a capacity building team that aims to enhance the capacity of 6 local NGOs, building its technical, financial, organisational and compliance systems in order to receive USAID funds directly. Prior to this, I was the Deputy Chief of Party/Technical Director for a USAID funded HIV response project for orphans and vulnerable children
