
MD, Nutrition, Public Health, HIV/AIDS and TB clinical care specialist with more than 15 years of experience in the provision of clinical care and 10 years of experience in providing technical and managerial leadership to health in the context of HIV/AIDS, TB and nutrition service delivery, primary care, and epidemiology programs. My scope of work has been on a variety of healthcare issues (e.g. HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, Home Base Care, PMTCT, VCT, PITC, MCH and nutrition) in a variety of settings (e.g. health posts, district clinics, provincial hospitals, national program management, project coordinator and national clinical director) and in a variety of capacities (e.g. mentor-physician, medical team leader, program coordinator and project director). I was responsible for medical staff (doctors, technicians, nurses, support staff, program coordinators and assistants) and non-medical staff (accountants, logisticians and administrators). I am an advanced trainer on topics such as Primary Health Care, HIV care and treatment, HCT, TB, infectious diseases, outbreaks management, HIS, Nutrition, among others. Technical Capacities to apply QI/QA interventions. In addition to other tasks, I have worked on budgeting, planning and reporting for PEPFAR, UNICEF, ECHO, WFP, WHO and Global Fund funded programs. I have experience on the business development and diversification side by working on project’s proposals for HIV/AIDS, nutrition and TB. I have designed interventions, staff structures, geographical coverages, training plans, project monitoring plans for proposals and I have worked with several business development teams. I have experience negotiating with different partner to created consortiums for proposal. I have been the technical lead in the development of proposals for nutrition and TB.
