Viegas José is an experienced auditor currently working as Senior Audit 2 at Deloitte & Touche (Mozambique) where he is responsible for preparing the planning of audit, controlling the defined audit strategy, assessing the audit risks, executing, and reviewing the audit procedures adopted in the project, evaluating the audit evidence collected, supervising the engagement team. My key responsibilities as a role of Audit Senior includes: • Leading teams and audit trainees through planning, execution and completion stages of audit. • Engagement planning based on understanding of the entity and assessment of business and related audit risks. • Coordination with the team manager to define the extent of planned audit procedures and to update on the progress of the engagement. • Supervision, review, finalization of an assurance engagement and On-the-job training of team members and associated staff. • Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to personnel at appropriate level of responsibility. • Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities. • Providing basic advisory services to clients in respect of taxation, accounting treatment of complex transactions and compliances.
