CARRER SUMMARY Jaime Chitlango has a degree in Business Administration and Management by Universidade Politécnica – A Politécnica and has more than 28 years of professional experience in the areas of development and humanitarian, with emphasis on Disaster Risk Reduction and Sustainable Local Development, Readiness, Mitigation, Prevention, Preparedness and Emergency Responses; Agriculture, Livestock, Food Security and Livelihoods, Rural Development, Good Governance and Civil Society. He holds relevant competencies in the areas of management (planning, organization, direction and control), administrative and financial management, human resources, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, resources mobilization, design of project proposals, program implementation and management; including operations management, supervision and team management; development of organizational capabilities, establishment and management of partnerships; specific communication and facilitation, analysis and documents production skills; and competencies in conducting research and consultancies. Jaime Chitlango has experience working in consortium and confederation models involving different actors; experience in liaising with donors as part of project implementation and accountability, quite a lot familiarized with donor compliance requirements, solid experience working with USAID (OFDA), SIDA, EU (ECHO and DFID) funds; and has extensive experience in coordinating and liaising with a diversity of stakeholders, including the private sector, government institutions at different levels (central, provincial, district and local) and service providers; with in-depth knowledge of the mozambican context. Throughout his professional career, he has covered the entire national territory, having been based in the provinces of Niassa, Zambézia, Cabo Delgado, Maputo, Gaza, and Manica.
