
Master’s Degree in Policy Science (expertise in Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction - CBDRR) – Osaka, Japan; Bachelor in International Relations and Diplomacy – Maputo, Mozambique. I have over 10 years’ experience, including two years of international experience in Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR - disaster prevention and mitigation; risk assessment and hazard mapping; disaster preparedness, response and recovery, and community resilience), and institutional capacity building. I am experienced and effective communicator to broad audiences, ranging from donor groups, senior government officials to local stakeholders. My education background and experience with Community-Based Organizations, in Japan (BOKOMI), and National Institute for Disaster Management (INGC), in Mozambique, enabled me to have a good understanding of the local and country political, social, cultural, environmental, and development contexts. My past experience includes, also, Lecturer and Research Assistant at Catholic University (UCM), Military Academy Marechal Samora Machel, and Pedagogical University (in Nampula).
