As a Mining and Geological Engineer, I had the opportunity to work at Vulcan International as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, in the Drill and Blasting department, where I had the opportunity to learn and support on all activities related to drill core up until the blasting to the extraction of mineral coal; also had the opportunity to participate in weekly meetings to evaluate the performance of the operations, where I had the opportunity to contribute with constructive remarks; also had the opportunity to develop my skills related to various software: Ms Office Package, GIS systems and Drill and Blast related software; and ultimately had the pleasure to developed a research that contributed to the improvement of the safety of the Drill and Bast operation in hot boreholes (due to the spontaneous combustion of coal), and improved the efficiency of the overall process resulting in a well fragmented material. That research also contributed to my thesis for the attribution of the Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Geological Engineering.
