
I hereby present my application for the above-mentioned position in response to the advertisement published. I intend to face new professional challenges, which involves combining my professional profile with eligibility to occupy this exciting position. I am a Communication and Community Engagement Specialist in the field of Public Health with more than 10 years of experience, having background in media relations, social media management, public relations and community engagement. My experience, knowledge and skills are in line with the job description for this position. Throughout my long professional career, I have consolidated my skills and expertise in Communication having contributed to designing and management of several SBC and communication strategies in various contexts, liaison of different segments and target groups (people living with HIV, youth and adolescents, key populations, pregnant and breastfeeding woman), civil society mobilization aiming to ensure that community engagement plays a critical role in for people living with HIV. Moreover, through SBC interventions, I have worked in the last years in several robust interventions that increase risk perceptions for HIV preventions as well as retention in treatment in the provinces of Manica, Tete, Niassa and Sofala. Those interventions included critical public health campaign to change men perceptions and sensitize them to seek services (eg, Somos Iguais and Testa-lá campaigns), implementations of prevention and treatment literacy activities, including U=U messaging, working with community and faith leaders to broaden HIV messaging, including de-stigmatize HIV as well as using of community relevant messaging platforms to increase understanding and awareness of key programs such as HTS, GBV, PrEP, PMTCT, DSD. I have a strong knowledge of Mozambican media context which includes a great networking and relationship established with key local media, including community radios.
