Resumo
I bring extensive business development experience acquired as managing director for Mudwai Enterprises. I was responsible for planning and operations for the company during an economic recession and successfully turned the business around by engaging with both private and public sectors forging win-win relationships for survival. Below is are key successes and achievements that I have delivered in my career, resulting in a positive impact in the lives of the intended beneficiaries: ● Created a natural hair product line, Ancestori, that aims to support women in villages in Inhambane Province and Ghana by buying their natural products. ● Have consistently focused on social issues and the difficulty women and children go through in Mozambique. This has led me to document ‘Centro de Apoio Psicossocial das Mahotas’, ‘Unifuni’- an organization supporting HIV positive children and other ongoing personal projects, including a documentary on abortion and its taboos, mal practice, lack of psychological support and how this can be changed. ● Conceptualized and organized a fundraiser entitled “Empower Us” that raised US$5,000 my studies at New York Film Academy. With my experience as an entrepreneur, creative, and my passion for impacting positively on people’s lives, I believe I am suitable to join the Women in Business team which aims to empower women in Mozambique.
