I am an experienced Finance and Administration professional currently employed by World Education Inc working as Finance & Operation Director. I have over twenty years practical experience in financial management of non-profit organizations as well as significant experience in Administration, Logistics and Audit. I am knowledgeable in procurement rules and regulations of major international donors including the European Union, DFID, the German Development, Danida and USAID. I am capable of analysing various options and determining the best course of action. I am a critical thinker, decision maker and have been instrumental to the success of the CARE Mozambique Country Office and World Education. I have the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision and take the initiative to address problems that require immediate action. I have managed an annual portfolio of over US$12 million for several years while I was Finance Manager with CARE International. I have developed skills in facilitation, training, staff development, proper coaching and leadership skills. I believe that teamwork and staff capacity development are the keys to all INGOs success. I developed and led the implementation of audit recommendations for several years while I was the financial Manager. Setup both finance and administrative system of CARE in both the main and sub offices and world Education. Trained both finance and non-finance staff (all new to CARE) in CARE’s policies and procedures and World Education as well. Well-disciplined with proven ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently under extreme pressure while meeting tight deadline schedules. Dedicated, patient and driven individual, self-starter and team player with experience working in a multicultural environment.
