He is currently the owner of EDUTEC Consultores EI and Consultant (part time) of the Employment Fund of JOBA Project - Skills for Employment, financed by DFID. Prior to that he was Executive Director of the Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA). For 6 years he was senior manager of two major government programs, namely the Integrated Vocational Education Reform Program (PIREP) and Public Sector Reform Program (RSP). In 1997 he coordinated the process of constitution of the Mozambican VIDA NGO and in 1998 was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors having remained for 10 years in this position. For 10 years he was Managing Partner of CBE Consultores, a Management and Human Resource Development company, having started his career as a teacher and manager of institutions of Vocational and Technical Education where he spent about 20 years. Gabriel Machado holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and throughout his career has participated in various management and organizational development training course.
