My name is Daniel Magombe, and I’m an agronomist with over 7 years of experience working in sustainable agriculture, agribusiness development, and rural development projects across Mozambique. I hold a degree in Agronomy from the Universidade do Zambeze, and throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to manage and implement multi-sectoral projects in collaboration with key partners such as FAO, WFP, Caritas, Bayer, and the Government of Mozambique. I specialize in planning, coordinating, and evaluating agricultural initiatives with a strong focus on climate-smart practices, agroforestry, cashew and rice value chains, and improving market linkages for smallholder farmers. I’ve also worked extensively in capacity building for local teams, community-based organizations, and producer cooperatives. Currently, I’m leading a rural development project with ESMABAMA in Sofala, where I manage cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with donor and institutional goals. What drives me most is empowering communities to build resilience and improve livelihoods through sustainable agriculture."
