I am a 48-year-old Mozambican man. I am bilingual, I speak fluently both Portuguese & English languages. I am a tested corporate business leader, a man of integrity, with solid, proven track record in both the Energy & Petroleum (Oil & Gas) Sector, and the Investments & Banking Sector in Mozambique. I have a total of 26 years of cumulative leadership and professional working experience, of which 22 years are at Executive Management Level. Presently, I am holding an Executive Directorship position of General Manager (Managing Director) for CTRG (Central Termica de Ressano Garcia), the JV for Azura Power (formerly Sasol) & EDM operating the first Gas to Electricity Power Plant in Mozambique. My outstanding Executive Management &Leadership experiences feature the following highlights: • Development of strategic objectives and direction for CTRG: As First in command, am responsible for devising new strategic plans and policies to bring CTRG visions to reality. • Implementation of the proposed CTRG plans: Directing and overseeing the CTRG business’s overall strategic direction, developing high-quality business strategies and plans that align with both their short-term and long-term objectives. • Communicating with the CTRG Board of Directors (Board): Transparent & Permanent communication with the CTRG Board. Keeping the Board informed of important business decisions. • Safety & Security of CTRG Gas to Electricity Operations: Ensuring safety for company assets, human capital and environment. Uninterrupted electricity production as per agreed contractual capacity with the client (EDM). • Tracking company performance: Setting up CTRG targets on revenue growth, profit margins, and cumulative sales, embedding these into Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the management team, to help CTRG meeting its new targets. • Budgeting and Forecasting: Responsible for the CTRG annual budget, reviewed and approved by the CTRG Board.
