Summary
Dr. Namburete is a Specialist Medical Doctor in Infectious Diseases (ID Doctor), holds a Masters (MSc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degrees in Health Sciences. Dr. Namburete has nearly 18 years in public health, most of which has been spent on Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS services management and delivery at clinical and community level. She has demonstrated experience in integrated health programs support, financial management, conducting health systems research and has several scientific publications through peer review journals. Dr. Namburete has worked as a physician in the past 13 years and as nursing assistant for more than 5 years. She has worked throughout the country for the Ministry of Health and partners at district, provincial and national levels. In the past 3 years Dr. Namburete worked as General Director of the Chimoio Provincial Hospital, she demonstrated significant expertise in technical leadership for implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of health programs with focus on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and local capacity development. For 3 years she worked in Brazil as an ID Doctor focused on HIV/AIDS and TB care and treatment to vulnerable populations in the Amazon Region. For more than 6 years Dr. Namburete has collaborated with International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) on a complex health projects supported by US National Institute of Health, World Health Organization, PEPFAR, Fundação de Apoio a Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) and Fundação de Amparo a Ensino Pesquisa e Assistência (FAEPA). Additionally, as a Professor of Infectious Diseases, since 2011 she is also a lecturer of ID subjects for under degree students in Medicine at the Catholic University of Mozambique (UCM). Currently she is working as ID consultant and principal investigator, responsible for: design, implement, and management of projects of TB and co-infection TB/HIV in the National Institute of Health under Global Fund,
