Mashova Lda is hiring a Workshop Manager for Maputo.
Duties
Direct repair, service and maintenance of all Mashova vehicles and plant
Direct supervisory staff in planning of repair and maintenance jobs
Investigates vehicle and plant accidents, negotiates for any possible settlements and authorizes any repairs or maintenance of organization vehicles and plant
Report in writing possible preventable failures on equipment or equipment parts
Maintain electronic databases of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance of Mashova fleet
Perform vehicle registration, insurance and CHP formalities and documentation regarding induction of new vehicles in existing fleet
Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system with assistance of Fuel Cards for all vehicles and drivers
Ensure responsible driving and use of Mashova vehicles according to vehicle agreement
Ensure all Leave applications are submitted 4 weeks in advance
Foster relationships with service providers and OEM’s
Create and oversee inventories
Oversee the scheduling of vehicle and plant repairs and maintenance
Prepare vehicle and plant specifications meant for purchase
Requisites
Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Workshop Manager
Section 13 qualified Diesel Mechanic – formal CAT training advantageous
Experience on heavy earth moving equipment
Medically fit
Valid driver’s license
Must reside in Matola/Maputo area
Fluent in English, Portuguese and Afrikaans advantageous
Hardworking and trustworthy
Time management and organisational skills
