Warehouse Controller

GUD Filters is recruiting a Warehouse Controller, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties
  • The successful incumbent will manage all stock, including the incoming shipments and oversee the shipping, staging, tracking and reporting of the day's activities and interfaces with customers and other administration staff
  • The position requires an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, communicate information clearly, and keep a constant focus on the work
  • Verification and record keeping on incoming shipments and stock
  • Receiving, controlling and unpacking of all incoming shipments and liaising with custom officials where necessary
  • Conferring and corresponding with supplier representatives to rectify problems such as damages, shortages and non conformance to specifications
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled and invoiced timeously and accurately
  • Manage returns of stock and request for credit
  • Monitor orders in progress and inform personnel about logistic problems or updates
  • Communicate with customers on delivery times and delays
  • Handle queries from personnel and customers
  • Record and maintain data related to the day's work load
  • Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are adhered to
  • Controlling warehouse staff who ship and receive stock
Requisites
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of local shipping and import laws
  • Forklift driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of PASTEL is advantageous
  • Driver’s licence
