We have implemented social marketing and behavior change communications to deliver prevention and treatment products and services across various health areas, including sexual reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, malaria, WASH, and cervical cancer. In Mozambique, PSI is leading the way in enhancing the private sector contribution to the health system and in developing the market for sanitation products in the northern region; supports the ministry of health in data use and quality assurance to boost the capacity of the health system to provide quality and sustainable healthcare; provides technical assistance to government and partners in advancing the self-care movement; steps up the adoption of digital health care solutions that bring care closer to communities. The program has an annual budget of approximately $8 million, five offices in-country, and 100 staff
- The Training Specialist will lead the adaptation and rollout of training activities within the “EU SOU CAPAZ” Girls Empowerment Program. Working closely with the National Youth Institute (INJ) and other stakeholders, the Specialist will ensure training packages provided by INJ are contextually adapted, effectively delivered, and meet the needs of facilitators, youth leaders, and community actors involved in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) efforts targeting adolescent girls and young women.

Duties
- Adapt training packages and tools developed by INJ to ensure relevance to local contexts across the South Zone provinces
- Lead the organization and facilitation of Training-of-Trainers (ToT) sessions for implementing partners and project facilitators
- Provide ongoing technical guidance and coaching to trainers to ensure quality and consistency
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of training activities and support continuous improvement
- Coordinate with INJ and partners to align training approaches and ensure smooth logistics
- Ensure training activities reflect a strong understanding of the Mozambican institutional, cultural, and social context
- Contribute to reporting on training outputs, outcomes, and lessons learned
Requisites
- Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, Psychology, or Educational Sciences
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, adapting, and delivering training programs, particularly as a Trainer of Trainers (ToT)
- Demonstrated expertise in Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programs, with a focus on Sexual and
- Reproductive Health (SRH) for adolescent girls and young women
- Languages: Full professional fluency in Portuguese and English (both written and spoken) is required
- Local Expertise: Deep knowledge of Mozambique’s institutional, social, and cultural context is essential
