Description
- The Academy is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and is looking for a thoughtful, energetic and capable person to support the work of the Head of Academy in pursuit of excellent standards. This important role is key to the success of the Academy. Requisites
- Preferably some good qualifications in education with assessed teaching time – desirable a local degree in education
- Previous educational experience in the primary age range, collaborated with references –desirable IB experience
- Ability to communicate and write in Portuguese and English at good working level
- A deep understanding of, and connection with, Mozambican culture, traditions, values and society
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to interact well and communicate effectively with students and colleagues
- Proven ability to administer sensitive information
- An understanding of the vision of His Highness for the Aga Khan for the Academies
- Previous experience as a PYP teaching assistant
- Knowledge and understanding of the wider African context
- Experience of school residential programmes
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to take initiative and multi-task
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively
- Computer Literacy
- Educational specialism; for example, ability to teach, singing, drama or dance
