Stakeholder Engagement Specialist (m/f)

Duties

• Person responsible to engage vulnerable people, communities and beneficiaries. This person will conduct community consultation, assessment of the needs of the target group, screening of vulnerable people as well prepare training packages
• Will work in collaboration with other service providers and oversee the work done by community trainers

Requisites

• Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field including sociology, geography, communication, International Relation, international development, public administration, or related area
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations with communities
• At least 8 years of experience managing integrated community development projects
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English
• Be fluent in at least 2-3 of the following local languages Kiswalhili, Kimwani, Chimakonde, or Kimakwé is an advantage
• In-depth technical expertise on public consultation with different communities across the country
• Deep knowledge of Local Content Law and Resettlement Legislation
• Demonstrated experience in assessing communities needs and design appropriate interventions to address the needs
• Practical experience in community participation approaches, tools as well feedback mechanisms
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, and skills transfer
• Experience working with private sector projects and deep knowledge in HSE
• Strong English-language and Portuguese communication skills, both interpersonal and written
