U.S. Embassy is recruiting a Shipment Clerk, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Description
  • The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Shipment Clerk
Duties
  • Incumbent works under the Shipment Assistant on organizing all paper work taken to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a variety of customs offices
  • Incumbent collects all documentation related to incoming shipments such as the border memoranda, Air Way Bill documents at the airport, Bill of Landing and others supported documents for the shipments
  • Incumbent takes the Sends Bill of Landing to shipping companies located in the country for the delivery orders of the shipments and makes payments of the related bills
  • Assists the Shipment Assistant who is also a clearing Agent for the U.S. Embassy
  • Incumbent takes the customs dispatches to a variety of customs offices to clear goods, Household Effects, Privately Owned Vehicles and Unaccompanied Air Baggage for all the U.S. employees at the Embassy and related agencies such as CDC, DAO, and others
  • Finally, the incumbent serves as a runner to various offices to facilitate the work of the Shipment Assistant acting as customs clearing agent
