Description
- The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Senior Laboratory Advisor (Public Health Specialist) within the office of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Duties
- Job holder serves as a senior scientific and technical advisor to agency officials, host country Ministry of Health, implementing partners and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the planning and strengthening of laboratory programs and activities in Mozambique
- Responsibilities include program development, monitoring, reporting and close collaboration with partners to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with program objectives and internationally recognized best practices
- Incumbent is expected to work with partners and stakeholders, including other agencies, host government ministries, International Organizations (IO) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) involved in the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) and health security in general, and public health emergency preparedness and response and related diseases in country
