Senior Communications Advisor (m/f)

Duties

• Understand the broad political, social and media environment in Mozambique to identify communications opportunities as well as reputational risks and advise Project leadership accordingly
• Prepare social media strategies and prepare content specifically for social media
• Draft articles, newsletters and web copy and other communications material
• Prepare and implement issue-specific communications plans as required
• Helping to develop, edit and design organizational communications documents and material

Requisites

• University-level degree in communications, journalism or other relevant field
• 6 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in the energy and resources sector preferred
• Demonstrable experience developing strategies and preparing content for social media
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences through different channels
• Proficiency in English required (written and verbal)
• Exemplary Microsoft PowerPoint Skills
• Ability to work independently to carry out tasks to a high professional standard
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
