Senior Business Development Specialist – Consulting

Imani is recruiting a Senior Business Development Specialist - Consulting, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Provide technical support on financial issues to SMEs and financial institutions in Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, Angola and Malawi
• Diagnose training needs of relevant financial institutions and MSMEs in the region
• Conduct trainings/capacity building sessions: Plan and prepare workshops for financial institutions and MSMEs regarding credit availability, credit eligibility etc

Requisites

• Must have a degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance etc.
• and must have experience in SME finance, corporate lending, microfinance and/or credit risk
• At a minimum, the candidate must have 3 years’ senior management experience within the financial sector
• Must have capacity building/training experience, as the role involves conducting workshops and assessing the training needs of financial institutions and SMEs
• Practical experience and proven track record in delivering professional bank/business training programmes in the region
• Must be fluent in both English and Portuguese
