Security Assistant / Escort

The U.S. Embassy in Maputo is seeking two individuals for the position of Security Assistant / Escort.

Duties

• Under the guidance of the Regional Security Officer (RSO) escorts all non-cleared laborers and other service personnel in or adjacent to controlled access areas (CAAs) where classified materials is stored, handled, processes, or discussed
• May escort in non-CAA areas when needed
• Ensures that any work being done is in compliance with the Department of State (DOS) safety rules
• Reviews and approves visitor access and delivery requests
• Serves as controller and issuer of the GLID ID badge system for all Mission employees

Requisites

• High school diploma is required
• Two years of prior administrative, secretarial or comparable experience is required
• Level IV (fluency) English speaking/reading/writing is required
• A working knowledge of windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft Access is required
• Knowledge of Diplomatic Security policies and programs is required
• Ability to use strong communication, organization, and computer skills, flexibility when performing in stressful situations, including the ability to coordinate last minute additions or changes to schedule is required
• Incumbent must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for a Top Secret security clearance
