Futures Group is a partner of MEASURE Evaluation which is the USAID Global Health Bureau's primary vehicle for supporting improvements in monitoring and evaluation in population, health and nutrition worldwide. It helps to identify data needs, collect and analyze technically sound data, and use that data for health decision making.

Futures Group/MEASURE Evaluation is seeking a Research Coordinator based in Mozambique to support the implementation of two community based HIV/AIDS program evaluations. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating high quality data collection and collaborating with the research team based in the United States. Mozambican nationals are encouraged to apply.

Duties
  • Organize internal and external meetings with key stakeholders and coordinate travel logistics for in-country and US-based staff.
  • Oversee training for data collection and entry staff
  • Liaise with local research firm/sub-contractor (TBD) on data collection across the country
  • Ensure subcontractor adherence to child protection policy
  • Verify quality of data collected in the field through in-person spot checks
  • Verify quality of data entered through spot checks
  • Liaise with Futures Group office in US for financial and program management
Requisites
  • 5 years of professional experience in related field
  • Experience working with program financed by international donors, preferably USAID
  • Master’s degree in public health or community health, international development, monitoring and evaluation or other related field preferred
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection, preferably in Mozambique
  • Experience supervising quantitative and qualitative data collection preferable
  • Understanding of child protection issues is desirable
  • Fluency in Portuguese required and English language skills preferred
  • Annual remuneration in accordance with salary history and certified credentials
