CONTACT is recruiting a Recruiter, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The Recruiter is responsible for executing talent acquisition strategies to build a strong pipeline of talent that meets the needs of the Mozambique LNG Project; acting as a key member of the talent acquisition team alongside internal resources, third-party service providers, and recruitment agencies
- Serving as the main point of contact for all recruitment-related activities and providing back-up support to the wider Recruiting Team; liaising closely with other HR functions to ensure that recruitment processes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with company policies and standards; reviewing and enhancing job descriptions in collaboration with the HR Business Partner and Hiring Manager to ensure accuracy and clarity of requirements
- Preparing and negotiating employment offers for employees and contractors and presenting competitive salary proposals; reporting and analysing recruitment metrics to monitor process efficiency and time-to-fill; networking through industry contacts, professional associations, and trade groups to attract top talent within the LNG sector
- Participating in recruitment events to strengthen the company’s brand as an employer of choice and increase visibility of Mozambique LNG; actively sourcing candidates using social media, professional networks, and emerging technologies; pre-screening applicants to ensure they meet minimum qualifications
- Facilitating on-site interviews and providing candidates with information about the company’s benefits and advantages; preparing compensation recommendations for offer letters and coordinating pre-employment activities
- Supporting other HR projects and initiatives as required; and participating in HSE activities by adhering to company standards under the One-MAESTRO framework and completing all mandatory HSE trainings to ensure compliance with the organisation’s safety culture and policies
Requisites
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
- Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience with specific experience in staffing industrial projects and/or operations
- Major international projects experience, especially building large downstream facilities
- Experience working with a team of recruiters and workforce staffing service providers, directly supporting projects/operations in Africa is preferred
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively work across multiple HR functions and business teams, understanding and anticipating stakeholder needs and collaborating to develop effective solutions
- Effectively communicate (written and verbal) to interact and interface with internal clients and external candidates
- Possess refined interviewing techniques to draw relevant information from candidate
- Respect and manage confidential information
- Extremely organized to effectively manage multiple job openings in a high activity environment
- Understand and utilize applicable employment laws in recruiting practices
- Proficient computer skills with applications such as MS Office Suite, SAP, and Applicant Tracking System software
- Availability to commit to a fixed-term contract of three (3) months
