Program Area Manager

Plan International

Plan International is recruiting a Program Area Manager, to be based in Nampula, Mozambique.
  • Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls
  • We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected
  • Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children
  • We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge
  • We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries
  • Develop comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework, plans, tools/instruments and database which are in compliance with Plan International standards
  • Develop and implement health facility and community monitoring plans
  • Work with project team members and the partner organization to ensure facility and community level data is collected, processed, analysed and presented for health officials and community members to identify and make informed decisions on challenges in achieving MNH/SRHR outcomes
  • Ensure timely and high quality monitoring and evaluation reports are produced
  • Document and disseminate results and best practices on Program related lessons learnt to inform decision making
  • Provide regular and timely feedback on project progress against planned activities, outputs and results
  • Ensure capacity building by regularly training staff and partners for improved program monitoring and evaluation
  • Provide technical leadership in operational (baseline study, gender assessment and end line study) and programme research processes
  • Support advocacy and other program components with relevant evidence to inform the activities
  • Only short listed applicants will be contacted
