Heading is recruiting for its client a Product Handling Superintendent, to be based in Balama, Mozambique.
Duties
  • The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the smooth commissioning and start-up of the Balama product handling facility including bagging operations and warehouse management
  • The Product Handling Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the product handling facility is run in a safe and efficient manner according to daily, weekly and monthly production & logistics plans, ensuring that waste is minimalized and that customer expectations and specifications are met at all times, also responsible for the development of the product handling team’s capability within the Balama Operations Team and ensuring that all QA/QC policies and procedures are in place delivering in-spec product on time, every time
Requisites
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics and/or Warehouse Management or equivalent
  • 5 + years’ experience in a similar role preferably with a logistics management focus
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and competing deadlines
  • Pro-activeness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
  • Sound computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills & an advanced Excel and Database skill level
  • Significant knowledge of warehouse and stock control systems
  • Experience in a fast paced logistical environment highly desired
  • Contractor management experience highly desirable
