Capital Outsourcing Group Mozambique is hiring a Planning Engineer for Temane, in the Inhambane province.
Duties
- To provide a planning/scheduling service (in accordance with contract execution procedures) to both project and corporate management for home office and external (i.e. field) activities
- Candidate must be responsible and willing to participate as a member of the team, conscientious, methodical and prepared to adhere to corporate standards and procedures
- Candidate must be able to communicate with the project team, other disciplines and the Client project team
- Candidate must be able to analyse the project and sub-contractors schedules, conduct what-if scenarios, meet all the project reporting requirements and to ensure the smooth running of all the planning aspects of the project schedules both on site and head office
- Understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, conditions of contract, project execution plan, project schedule, etc
- Work within standard project planning/scheduling procedures. Ensure that these procedures comply with contractual reporting requirements and, if not, modify accordingly
- Prepare activity plans to accomplish all work required by the procedures
- Liaise with client project control personnel as necessary
- Produce current physical progress reports and final job statistics
- Prepare and issue project action reports (monthly) to Project Manager
Requisites
- BSc in Engineering
- Experience with Primavera (P6) and MS Project
- 5-10 Years project planning experience and good knowledge of project construction and conditions of Contract
- Fluent in Portuguese and English
- Mozambique Nationals will be given preference
