CONTACT is recruiting an IT Analyst, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The main activities of the function are to: be responsible for drafting and implementing company's IT policy (relevant security standards, equipment specifications, incident management, replacement of equipment policy, etc.) as well as acceptable use policy for the users; set up company's own tenant and create full user profiles for all the company's staff members
- Ensure compliance of the IT structure with the local regulation (including in terms of data protection) and the shareholders’ standards; implement and manage the company's daily sharepoint, including access rights management, in coherence with the document management and document control guidelines; build the relevant IT tracking tools and KPI to monitor budget, cybersecurity risks, users’ compliance to IT requirements, etc.
- Ensure the smooth operation of Tete office IT helpdesk for set up, configuration, and troubleshoot IT and network equipment; draft guidelines for artificial intelligence use, be a reference point for AI related questions, and ensure compliance amongst the team;
- Provide efficient IT support to end-users, troubleshoot desktop-related issues, and ensure clear communication while resolving faults; manage onboarding and offboarding of users, desktops, and notebooks according to approved policies; provide timely and professional IT support to end-users for software, hardware, and network-related issues
- Manage software set up and availability; support workstreams in the development or purchase of relevant IT solutions (e.g. data collection platform, admin software, etc.); set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices to meet company standards, ensuring optimal performance, security, and secure connectivity to company systems; install, configure, and maintain all office IT equipment, including printers, scanners, webcams, videoconference systems (for both Maputo and Tete office)
- Ensure reliant server network; assist in managing server networks, troubleshooting network issues. support the deployment of patches and vulnerability management of networked devices; ensure reliance of connectivity through set up of alternative systems (Starlink); install, configure, and maintain all computer peripherals, including printers, scanners, webcams, and video conferencing equipment, ensuring they are fully operational for daily business functions and remote collaboration
- Maintain an up-to-date asset register; for managing IT equipment stock and ensuring availability of IT equipment at all times (identifying hardware providers, obtaining quotations, submitting invoices); when required, manage third-party IT contracts related to IT services; provide one-on-one training to newly onboarded employees, as well as refresher session for users when required; develop and implement a cybersecurity sensitization plan for the employees, including trainings, phishing exercises, serious games when required; give tips/recommendations to the team members to increase their efficiency on the IT tools used, on how to enhance the security of their devices, use of Artificial Intelligence, etc.
- Support creation of the company's website through standards monitoring; support the communication and project management team in the website management and update, when required; perform additional IT related tasks as required by management to ensure smooth IT operations
Requisites
- Degree or equivalent Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Between 4-8 years of work experience as an IT Technician, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Fluent in Portuguese, with the ability to speak and write in English is required
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking
- Expertise in Windows Server environments, Azure cloud services, and Office 365 administration
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for network, hardware, and software issues
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices
- Advantageous qualifications: Current CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+; Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Cisco
- Certified Network associate (CCNA) Fortinet NSE Certified; Familiarity with OT (Operational Technology Systems; IT equipment configuration in remote environments; Knowledge of backup Solutions and Disaster Recovery Strategies
