HR Manager

ADPP is recruiting a HR Manager, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organizational strategy
• Support current and future organizational needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
• Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Nurture a positive working environment
• Manage the recruitment and selection process
• Manage and maintain the legal status of all international staff
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Maintain pay plan and benefits program
• Track and support changes across projects
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
• Ensure legal compliance
• Engage trade union on matters of employees’ interests
• Engage external stakeholders on matter related to human capital
• Provide advisory support to management on leadership issues
• Champion policy review and implementation across projects

Requisites

• At least 5 years’ experience as HR manager
• People oriented and results driven
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
• University degree in Human Resources Management or related field
