Fixed Plant Planner

Twigg Exploration & Mining is recruiting a Fixed Plant Planner, to be based in Balama e Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Duties

• Support the project with technical planning expertise, asset and maintenance management system development and design during the construction and commissioning phases to ensure critical maintenance considerations are met
• Work closely with the Infrastructure/Fixed Plant Planner to ensure integrated planning and efficient execution and control of work for the Balama processing operation
• Work closely with the Infrastructure/Fixed Plant Planner to achieve the KPIs for plant availability, Mean Time Between Failure, Mean Time to Repair and costs
• Help to develop and maintain the maintenance strategies and tactics for the processing facility to achieve the KPIs and Company objectives
• Carry out the weekly planning duties as per the Maintenance Planning Processes and other duties outlined the planning process flows
• Help to establish, implement and monitor both process plant asset and maintenance performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement
• Provide ongoing reporting and data analysis in relation to the condition of the processing facility
• Contribute to the weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly production planning process
• Preparation and contribution to the budgeting process as a part of the maintenance team in relation to parts, consumables and maintenance costs
• Assist in the development, implementation and management of a risk based control strategy and system for asset and spares management
• Ensure the purchasing of spare parts/equipment and stock levels are being set appropriately and to budget
• Assist in the management of Insurance, Rotable, Operating and Maintenance spares as per the company guidelines
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Pronto’s spares and asset management systems
• Assist in the development, implementation and management of the preservation of process plant spares held in inventory
• Provide support to the Procurement Manager to conduct monthly, quarterly and yearly stocktakes
• Assist in the development and management of an internal audit program for Balama Maintenance shutdown work
• Assist with and contribute to Continuous Improvement for the planning department and the process plant
• Assist with and contribute to the reporting and planning for continuous improvement projects

Requisites

• Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline or relevant industry qualification
• Minimum of 05 years engineering management experience in wet mineral processing with a primary flotation & milling focus
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing project strategies in a processing environment
• Proven exposure to engineering systems and processes – Pronto experience highly desired
• Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proactiveness and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
• Plant start-up and commissioning experience highly desirable
• Graphite processing experience highly desirable
• Sound computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills
• Knowledge of fixed plant control systems, PLC\'s and HMI
• Contractor management experience highly desirable
