English Language Consultant

Navitas is recruiting a English Language Consultant, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Develop innovative, customized, student-centered ESL curricula with a focus on practical application
• Deliver engaging, applicable language coaching sessions to English language learners of all ages
• Facilitate exam preparation (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) and professional development trainings
• Act as the company’s ambassador in its efforts to increase and improve its market share
• Self-motivated, responsible person, who is able to manage multiple priorities
• Passionate about literacy development and lifelong education
• Manage client portfolios (e.g. contracts, invoicing, scheduling, client communications)
• Able to work flexible hours
• Able to use various computer for packages for productivity purposes, and as a teaching tool

Requisites

• Minimum of 5 years teaching or related experience, and a positive attitude towards teaching and student-centered curriculum development
• Qualified degree, specifically in the areas of English, education or language development
• Native or fluent English speaker
• Portuguese/French/Spanish/Italian language skills, a plus
• Familiarity with the Mozambican and African context
