Drilling Machine Operator

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Drilling Machine Operator, to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.

Duties

• Drives and operates drilling machine
• Assembling and dismantling pipes, casings and drill heads and replacing dysfunctional equipment
• Measure undercuttings with steel rod to determine depth of undercut and location of holes to be drilled
• Join vertical and horizontal holes
• Starting, stopping and controlling drilling speed of machines and insertion of casings into holes
• Maintaining records of drilling and servicing operations
• Maintaining and cleaning drilling rigs, hoisting and other machinery
• Performs pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and completes daily equipment reports
• Performs duties safely, responsibly and proficiently observing all HSE procedures, policies, and plans

Requisites

• Certified Drill Operator
• Must have experience using machine LD4
• More than 10 years of work experience in operating Wire Saw machine
• Experience working in Marble/Granite quarry
• Able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Good computer skills
• A good attitude towards maintenance and care of machinery
• Good communication skills and a team player
