Director of Warehousing and Transportation

• PROJECT: Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Mozambique
• Background: The Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) – Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) project will be the primary vehicle through which the US Government will procure and provide health commodities, provide technical assistance to improve partner countries’ management of the supply chain, and collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives. There are three main task orders for the project: HIV/AIDS, President’s Malaria Initiative, and Population and Reproductive Health
• The Director of Warehousing and Transportation is responsible for providing overall leadership of efforts in warehousing and transportation/distribution for the GHSC-PSM project. He/she will supervise and lead the warehousing and distribution teams in Maputo, Nampula, and Beira

Duties

• Lead project activities in warehousing at the central and regional levels and supervise project warehousing staff at central and regional levels
• Lead project transportation activities and supervise project transportation staff
• Coordinate with CMAM and other stakeholders to ensure adequate storage capacity is maintained for life-saving HIV (ARVs, RTKs, AHD, VL, EID), and Malaria commodities according to recommended standards
• Coordinate with CMAM and other stakeholders to ensure that lifesaving HIV, MCHN and Malaria commodities are efficiently received, stored, managed and distributed at/between central, regional and intermediary warehouses
• Oversees the project operation support to warehouses
• Support the use of CMAM's computerized warehouse management system, at all central level warehouses
• Assist the MIS team in maintaining MACS warehouse management system (WMS) quality data integrity at central and regional warehouses
• Produces project reports and KPIs on warehousing and transportation
• Contributes to the production of the project warehousing and transportation workplans and budget and monitors their execution
• Develop and implement a plan to transfer key warehousing functions to CMAM

Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehousing and transportation, preferably of health commodities forecasting and supply planning and/or supply chain management systems
• Experience and familiarity with Mozambique MOH health commodities supply chain preferred
• Skilled in leading and managing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to work with cooperating partners in implementing complex programs
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese required
