DAI SPEED is recruiting a Data Entry Intern, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
  • The Supporting the Policy Enabling Environment for Development (SPEED) activity is a 4.5-year (March 22, 2021 to August 7, 2025) project designed to improve Mozambique’s business enabling environment and enhance the role of the private sector in agriculture, trade facilitation, energy, biodiversity conservation, and health; it also strengthens economic governance and public financial management, while enhancing the role of civil society, thereby improving the country’s ability to plan, manage, and finance its own development. We are looking for dynamic and motivated young professionals to assist with Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) important and exciting activities as listed below
Duties
  • The specific duties include, but not limited to:
  • Support the MEL Team:
  • Enter data accurately and promptly into designated databases or systems
  • Verify and correct any discrepancies in data entries
  • Assist in the organization and categorization of data for easy retrieval
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data consistency across different platforms
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all data handled
Requisites
  • Indicative skills and qualifications
  • Early graduate/Student currently enrolled in Economics, Management, Statistics, or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Good organizational skills and initiative
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in English (reading and writing)
  • Basic understanding of data management principles
  • Proficient in relevant software applications (Excel, databases, etc.)

  • Duration of contract: The position is scheduled to begin in March 2024 and is expected to be completed within three months
  • Reporting: The data entry intern reports to the MEL Team and to the project DCOP and COP
