Capital Outsourcing Group Mozambique is hiring a Civil Supervisor for Temane, in the Inhambane province.
Duties
- Ensure that all assigned personnel are instructed in and comply with all aspects of the FWSA Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) policy, site security, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
- Ensure that civil/structural/building contractors adhere strictly to the latest approved for construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions
- Ensure by leadership and guidance, that civil contracted works under his control meets all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract target completions
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of assigned construction supervisors and engineers
- Maintain daily supervisory surveillance checks and records, ensuring that contractors management and supervision are providing safe working conditions and permitting procedures, all required competent personnel, protective equipment, adequate supervision and manpower, with reliable, well maintained equipment to execute the contracted works as per contract schedule and targets
- Ensure all quality control checks and tests are instigated, with records maintained and available as required for concrete mix design, batching operations, concrete pour, foundation release, grouting release, area release etc, all in accordance with contractors quality plan, method statements and project specifications
- Where applicable supervise the testing laboratory
- Ensure practical security and protection of the works and that all contractors provisions for temporary lighting, transport, vehicles, concreting plant, hand tools etc are in adequate supply and totally fit for purpose
- Ensure that all construction materials, embedded items, special fixtures etc are approved for use and that they are stored, protected and available to workface locations as required
- Ensure that a risk assessment has been undertaken and agreed prior to commencement of any new type of work activity if the activity has any potential risk to material or personnel
Requisites
- Degree in Engineering
- Sound knowledge of building construction
- Experience in the Construction Industry
- Fluent in both Portuguese and English
- Mozambique Nationals will be given preference
