Civil Engineer and Cost

BUCG is recruiting a Civil Engineer and Cost, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Studying of many Government regulations and possibility of any dangerous situation, preparing technical proposal/plan for civil engineering projects
• Estimating the cost of projects which include material, labor and other resources, filing tenders, bidding for material an equipment procurement
• Using software to design within the specified Governmental guidelines
• Assessing risk factors regarding labor, material and equipment providing safety measures for each procedure
• Conduting labor management, and resolving local labor issues
• Foreseeing difficulties in design, material and labor management, providing solutions
• Presenting the progress or any findings of the projects to related parties
• Managing and controlling the smooth funtioning of every aspect of the project
• Review and analyze the details of tender documentation (including purpose and scope of work, bidder qualification criterion , contractual conditions, blueprints, and any addenda regarding project timeline. costs, materials, equipment and manpower requirement)
• Check quantities and bid schedules, working closely with the technical team for confirming the quantitys
• Conduct visits to project sites in order to assess site conditions
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and/or cost-utility analysis based on the supplier and sub-contractor quotations
• Work closely with the techical team to draw up construction method statements, work schedules and cash-flow
• To gather critical information and document necessary for bid submissions
• Estimate cost of construction for the bid
• Build and maintain a coded index of materials, equipment, and personnel data for conducting cost analysis on current and future projects
• Compile the financial proposal of the bidding documents
• Finish the other duties of this position

Requisites

• Degree in civil engineering (certificate is needed)
• With more than 3 years (5years will be better) project experiences in this area
• Good team working skill
• Native or bilingual proficiency, full professional proficiency in Eglish
• Basic knowledge of FIDIC terms (blue, red and yellow)
• Skill of utilizing CCS Candy Couse
• Skill of MS(including office, powerpoint, Excel
• Able to partecipate in the process of project management, delegation, negotiation and supervising
• Excellent in logical interpretations and complex mathematical calculations
• Expert in computer-aided design packages
