Heading is recruiting for its client, an Oil and Gas Company, a Business Analyst (m/f) for a one year contract, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Be pro-active in the professions: individual interviews, brainstorming meetings, direct observations
 
- Conduct feasibility and opportunity studies (measuring organizational and technological constraints)
 
- Follow the evolution of new technologies, benchmark with competitors
 
- Produce reports on topics with potential
 
- Build master plans: business process mapping, analysis of the overall technical architecture concerned, information flows, etc.
 
- Elaborate, promote, through consulting and communication actions, the mapping of the information system (global architecture, functional model, process, repository, etc.) as a tool for decision support and performance management
 
- Contribute to improving and structuring the business via the optimization of business processes, data, applications and associated systems (detection of opportunities, etc.)
 
- Participate in the administration of the information system in terms of repositories, rules, approaches, methodologies, business objects, and tools
 
- Anticipate changes and their business impacts on the IS, and vice versa
 
- Evaluate the unit and overall coherence (portfolio) of the projects in relation to the information system (existing/target)
 
- Write functional specifications, contribute to calls for tenders, and analyze different market solutions
 
- Participate in the formalization of the contract and quality assurance plans
 
- Experience with SharePoint – Design and implementation
 
- Animate and coordinate the network of "Key-users" of the Customer business
 
- Organize and animate the operational management bodies (needs + functional evolutions) and perform a complete follow-up of the requests impacting the tools for the activity of the Customer business
 
- Analyze the existing and the solutions in place: set up indicators for monitoring and improving the activity (changes in cost, problem rate, productivity, etc.)
 
- Providing technical support to teams on the various applications in use
 
- Assisting with systems integrations
 
- Managing ticketed query system and ensuring comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date
 
- Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
 
- Identifying and resolving technical issues
 
- Managing coordination at a local and international level where required
 
- Delivering regular and customized training where required
 
- Preparing maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the organization’s systems
 
- Developing reports for teams across the business
 
Requisites
- Degree in computer Science, software engineering or similar IT fields with at least 5 years of experience
 
- Management experience: Project Leadership experience for IT projects
 
- Technical experience: SharePoint/Teams, Software engineering with strong and proven ability on Software development and support as well as great communication skills
 
- Proven knowledge and experience as a functional analyst working with databases, configuration settings, troubleshooting, data import and export
 
- Technical understanding to enable effective delivery of technology projects including new system implementations and upgrades to existing systems
 
- Experience in software selection projects is beneficial
 
- Ability to manage and successfully deliver projects impacting multiple business functions at multiple locations including international
 
- Team building and management skills, to bring a diverse group together to deliver required business results
 
- Customer Focus - proven track record of customer satisfaction and delivery success and ability to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with business and IT stakeholders
 
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, follow processes, and policies (including environmental & safety), and act as a contributing member of a team environment
 
- The Business Analyst assists the businesses in defining and modeling their needs, constraints and requirements
 
- As a functional specialist, analyze the needs of the Businesses, checks the adequacy of the IT supporting the activities of the Business, and propose innovative solutions (process and / or technical) to meet the needs expressed
 
- Advise and support the operational teams (IT Product Manager, IS Project Manager, Application Manager) of the organization to which he belongs
 
- Its transversal role brings it to work with many actors of the organization and its subsidiaries
 
- Ability to communicate in both Portuguese and English and be at easy with presentations and training large groups
