Administrator Fire Control (Carbon ABF)

BHP Billiton is recruiting a Administrator Fire Control (Carbon ABF), to be based in Boane.

Duties

• Ensure optimized ABF fire groups performance, by determining the condition of each fire group at the beginning of the shift
• Determine and implement appropriate actions to be conducted for any deviations and throughout the shift
• Monitor and control the ABF Firing Process, to ensure anode end of baking temperatures are consistently reached
• Conduct fire moves as per relevant BOP's in conjunction with the firing process operators observing all safety requisites following the correct sequence and to be conducted in the prescribed time span
• Correctly record all process performance parameters of the fires in the statistical control charts and elaborate the fire performance report at the end of the shift and discuss with the Shift Supervisor for approval
• Provide a benchmark fire group performance, in order to ensure an optimum baked anode quality

Requisites

• Ideally you will have Medium Technician Institute or equivalent
• Present relevant certificates that show some experience in heavy industry companies
• Demonstrate oral English language proficiency
