Supply Superintendent (m/f)

Aldelia is recruiting a Supply Superintendent (m/f), to be based in Cabo Delegado, Mozambique. 
Duties
  • Oversee the full supply chain with regards to the purchasing and movement of goods, including critical spares management and delivery
  • Manage the onsite entry of new item master data for the addition of new items into the inventory in accordance with Company policy and best practice cataloging procedures, particularly in the case of equipment parts, components and sub-assemblies arranged in parent/child configurations
  • Ensure item master data is maintained as current and that the master data for all stock items to be cataloged is complete and correct, validating with onsite technical or OEM authorities as appropriate. Data includes stock reorder points, maximum stock holdings, and rationing levels, criticality data, economic reorder and repair quantities in addition to parts description data and supplier data
  • Monitor and report stock turn for the entire inventory to the Supply Manager regularly and make recommendations for any proposed changes in stock levels
  • Variations to approved stock levels will require compliance and approval in accordance with site stocking policy
  • Remain vigilant for abnormal consumption patterns alerting internal customer management and the purchasing team to respond to prevent stockouts as appropriate
  • Assisting in order expediting and maintaining reports to aid warehouse and purchasers
  • Ability to guide, train less qualified members of the team to perform inventory related activities
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, procedures and policies aligned to execution of supply related activities
 
Requisites
  • Higher level education in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Management, or similar
  • 5+ years’ work experience, preferably in the Mining sector Minimum 2 years’ experience in leadership or advisor level position
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on market/company statistical data
  • Good negotiating, problem solving & organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese
  • Advanced IT skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Advanced user of Purchasing ERP system
  • Thorough understanding of Mozambican laws and Mining Regulations
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation, policy and standards and recommending appropriate actions
